ABOUT TIM

Australian singer/songwriter, Tim Lane, has been a part of the music industry for many years. From playing lead guitar in numerous rock cover bands while at university to now creating original acoustic music, performing, and recording his signature sounds in studios.

Tim's music moves from acoustic ballads through to solid rock, with carefully crafted melodies and lyrics. Reminiscent of Crowded House, Hunters and Collectors, and other known Aussie acts, Tim's music deservingly has a place in the Australian music landscape.

In 2010 Tim teamed up with his mate, Mark Baldock to create the Rock duo “The Backstick Agenda”.  A play on words developed by Tim's musician son Charlie. During this same time, Tim got to know Dave Minchin of the “The Giant Hamsters” fame and sent him a recording of a song called “a song for Jim”. Dave then produced this song with Michael Carpenter of Luv HZ studios in Sydney. This was the beginning of Tim's original music Journey. In additional to his work with "The Backstick Agenda", Tim plays solo shows in Hobart, and has recorded 10 original tracks with a view to building this body of work.
